The family of Clay Wrege has established The Clay Wrege Charitable Foundation in his loving memory. The purpose of the Foundation is to honor the wonderful spirit and kind sharing that were dominant traits of Clay.

The Foundation is funded completely by irrevocable donations. All donations will ultimately be distributed to charitable causes that meet the IRS 501c3 qualifications. The only exception to this is the necessary costs associated with administering the Foundation. Those costs should not exceed two percent (2%). Each year, no less than ten percent (10%) of the total value of the Foundation will be distributed

The initial giving by donors has been directed to Locks of Love, an organization that Clay supported both financially and by shaving his head in honor of children who have lost their hair due to illnesses. Already, over $3,450 has been contributed to this cause in Clay’s memory.

Another charitable cause that will be supported is a recurring scholarship for a graduating senior from Floyd Central High School. The criteria for the applicants are that they are involved in the theater program. Each year the theater director will determine which applicant exhibits the greatest zest for life coupled with the God-given ability to charm their way out of manufactured mischief.
