2016 Foundation Update
The generosity of a handful of donors, along with the strength of the stock market and the assurance of our God to honor those who tithe has sustained the Foundation. The year-end balance is $25,003 even after the giving of ten percent of the funds each year to charities and the scholarship. Praise to God and to those who still choose to contribute.
A special thank you is extended to J.R. Stuart. J.R. is a professional thespian, well known in the Kentuckiana area. This year J.R. directed and acted in the stage play, “The Dresser”. J.R. donated all of the profits from this production to charities. Through his kindness and generosity, the Foundation received $2,000.
The theater scholarship was awarded to Arielle Conrad. The selection of the recipient is made by the theater director at Floyd Central High School. His comments about Arielle: “She is a great kid, a hard worker…and an instigator of all sorts of mischief…a great fit for the award! She is going on to Western Kentucky University to study theatre and I know the money will be a huge help for her.”
